Enscriptured allows you to create fairly complex reading plans with multiple groups and multiple passages per group.

Say you want four readings each day: Old Testament, Psalms, Gospels, and New Testament. Using Enscriptured, you would create four groups, one for each reading. If you want to further customize your plan - ie, by changing the order you read the Old Testament books - you would do this by specifying your passage ranges within each group.

There are two ways to enter a reading plan. The most straightforward and flexible method is by writing a reading plan text string into the text box below. You can see my own reading plan using this method: Five Daily Reading. You can also used the group and passage fields below the text box.

The Division setting specifies if you want your daily readings to end at a section break, a chapter break, or at any verse. Depending on your other settings (what passages, how many days), your readings may not always divide evenly.

For the Range, either give it a date range or specify how many days this plan should take.

At the moment, there is no sophisticated error checking. If you enter an invalid book name or specify a weird passage range, the plan might not generate and Enscriptured won't tell you why. More robust error checking is coming in the future.

Also coming: the ability to save your plan on Enscriptured to share with others and return to at any time.
